Volassom is a calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) injectable from Korea that does two jobs: it adds volume when injected and prompts collagen production over time. The formula is 30% CaHA microspheres in a 70% sodium carboxymethylcellulose gel carrier.
What is Volassom?
Volassom is a CaHA volumizer and collagen stimulator supplied as two 0.8 mL syringes per box. The gel carrier gives immediate correction, and the microspheres then act as a scaffold for new collagen.
Unlike HA fillers, CaHA cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase, so careful placement matters.

How do injectors use Volassom?
To add lidocaine, draw 0.2 cc of 2% lidocaine into a 3 cc luer-lock syringe, connect it to the Volassom syringe and pass the contents back and forth ten times. Use the mix within 2 hours.
Inject with a 22 to 25G cannula, bevel down at about 30°, laying linear threads with steady pressure while withdrawing. Avoid scar tissue and cartilage and massage gently afterwards. Do not treat patients with severe allergies, anaphylaxis history, hypersensitivity to the components or bleeding disorders. For licensed medical professionals only.

How does Volassom compare with other CaHA products?
Facetem 0.8ml and GANA CH are other CaHA-based options. They differ in carrier, added HA and syringe count. Because none of them can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, many injectors use an HA filler for areas where reversibility matters.

Can CaHA be dissolved like HA?
No. Hyaluronidase does not break down CaHA, so careful placement matters.

Does Volassom contain lidocaine?
